On July 17, 1863, two armies clashed at the climactic Battle Of Honey Springs. The battle was fought on Indian land for Indian Territory and with the sacrifice of much Indian blood. One one side was a Federal Army of approximately 3000 men; facing them was 5000 Confederates. Although confronted by superior numbers, the Federal Forces had a clear advantage in artillery, rifles and supplies. The Confederate Forces had poor ammunition and few artillery pieces. When the smoke had cleared the Federal Forces held the field.

Here is a new Veterans Memorial that we are working on, this is the Cherokee Warrior Memorial located in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

This memorial is located in Amarillo, Texas and features many different sections in the memorial itself, they have a section for all of the wars with a brief description of each and the names of the ones who fought. with many bricks lining the memorial of all sponsors and a tremendous entrance piece that shows the branches of the military.

This is the Vietnam War Marker in the Texas Panhandle Veterans War Memorial and it reads " America's involvement in its most controversial war had its beginning in the early1960's as the country sought to protect south Vietnam from attack by north Vietnam. The U.S. Role for most of the first half of the 1960's consisted of advising south Vietnamese troops in their battle against north Vietnam, but in august 1964, two north Vietnamese gunboats reportedly opened fire on two u.s.

World War I began in Europe with the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria on a visit to Sarajevo, Bosnia. the united states entered the war on April 6, 1917 as result of Germany's policy of unrestricted submarine warfare which violated its neutrality. the failed final German offensive of march 21, 1918 timed to occur before significant American forces could arrive, resulted in the abdication of the Kaiser and Germany being forced to sue for peace. The battles of Chateau-Thierry, Belleau wood and the Meuse-Argonne were primary sites of the American fighting.
