The Stillwater Regional Airport is dedicated to the memory of Hoyt E. Walkup. Hoyt was a native of Hollis, OK and came to Searcy Field now known as Stillwater Municipal Airport in 1947. He had just completed four years as an air force pilot and was employed by Oklahoma State University as a flight instructor and charter pilot. He would continue to derive in the air force reserves for 16 years. As the founder of the Oklahoma State University Flying Aggies, one of the nation’s top collegiate flight teams, his enthusiasm for aviation influenced the lives of many you aviators.

This red granite monolith style sign is on the grounds of the Ernie Arena in Granite, Oklahoma. It is a rodeo and riding arena used by the local riding clubs. The arena was remodeled in 2004. This sign was dedicated to the memory of "Jim" James F Perry Jr. This sign is located at the intersection of Mountain Ave and Ann St in Granite, OK. This sign has a rugged rough edge that is left from the drill holes from quarrying the block of granite.

This red granite historical marker is located at Dixon Durant Park in Durant, Oklahoma. Dixon Durant Park is named in honor of the founder of Durant, Oklahoma. This monument marks the site of the first log cabin built by Dixon Durant's father, Fisher Durant. Circa 1832. Grandfather Pierre Durant, Fisher Durant and Dixon Durant came to this area of "Indian Territory" over the Trail of Tears Circa 1830. It is always important for us to remember our landmarks of the past and how the people that came before us impacted the places and things that we have today.
