This red granite historical marker is located at Dixon Durant Park in Durant, Oklahoma. Dixon Durant Park is named in honor of the founder of Durant, Oklahoma. This monument marks the site of the first log cabin built by Dixon Durant's father, Fisher Durant. Circa 1832. Grandfather Pierre Durant, Fisher Durant and Dixon Durant came to this area of "Indian Territory" over the Trail of Tears Circa 1830. It is always important for us to remember our landmarks of the past and how the people that came before us impacted the places and things that we have today.

This red granite historical marker is located in a small park on the Northwestern corner of the intersection of 6th St (Highway 51) and Perkins Rd in Stillwater, OK. It commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Oklahoma Land Run and the original town site of Stillwater. This Historical Marker and the 2 large entrance signs at the East and West ends of town on Highway 51 (6th Street) are part of the project Willis Granite Products is proud to have been chosen to commemorate this important event in Oklahoma history.

This Historical Marker celebrates the birthplace of Jim Thorpe. Jim Thorpe is well known as an outstanding athlete, as an Olympic medalist, Major League Baseball player and Professional Football player. He was the first President of the National Football League. Jim was also voted the greatest athlete of the first half of the 20th century by the Associated Press. This historical marker is one of many that have been designed and created by the artists at Willis Granite Products.
