The Knox County Veterans Memorial, located at the corner of U.S. Highway 82 and State Highway 6, honors all Knox County veterans from the Spanish-American War through current conflicts.
This is a beautifully made brown granite single memorial made into the shape of a heart with a family of owls to the side of it. There's a statement at the bottom that reads " How very softly you tiptoed into our world and only a moment you stayed. But what an imprint your footsteps have left upon our hearts!"
