This red granite historical monument displays information about the Delhi School and community in Delhi, Oklahoma. The front of the monument contains information about the school and community. The back of the monument has the names of the alumni and others who donated to the project to have this historical marker created. This historical marker is a good example of many that we have created to help us remember the small rural communities and schools that once dotted the landscape of Oklahoma.

Dan Chandler and Melvin Douglas III are two of the 2013 inductees into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame receiving the Distinguished Member Award. Dan Chandler will be remembered as one of the most successful Greco-Roman wrestlers in the United States. More importantly, he will be remembered as one of the most influential. Victory School Historical Marker

The Victory community is located a few miles west of Altus, Oklahoma in Jackson County. The Victory school was active from 1912 to 1938. Here is the text from the historical marker. "Victory School. This historical marker is dedicated to the students, teachers, parents, and community members that made this a top performing school in the state of Oklahoma" This historical marker was created using gray granite set into a native rock fence at the old school yard.
