Stillwater, Where Oklahoma Began!

"The settlers call this place the town of Stillwater" Lt Mathias W Day, December 25th 1884. A Boomer town 4 years before the Land Run of 1889.

These 2 large red granite signs were created as part of the Centennial of the Oklahoma Land Run. They were originally located at 6th and Western on the West side of Stillwater and at 6th and Perkins Rd on the East side of Stillwater.
